Welcome to MBA Veterans Connect, an online professional network designed to be the most valuable and sustainable community of current and future business, governmental, military, and non-profit leaders – all of whom have the shared experience of military service and an MBA degree from a top-ranked program. MBAVeterans.net is operated by the MBA Veterans Network, Inc. By using the MBA Veterans Connect website you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (this “Agreement”) whether or not you register as a member (“Member”). If you wish to become a Member and browse and/or communicate with other Members and make use of the MBAVeterans.net service (the “Service”), read these Terms & Conditions and indicate your acceptance of them by following the instructions on the registration process.
This Agreement establishes the legally binding terms of your use of the Website and your membership in the Service. The Agreement may be modified at any time, and as such modifications will be effective upon posting by the MBA Veterans Network on the website. This Agreement contains MBA Veterans Connect’s Privacy Policy, and any notices regarding the Website. You may also receive a copy of this Agreement by emailing us at info@mbaveterans.com Subject: Terms & Conditions.
1.) Privacy and Security All personal information is strictly guarded for use by individual Members and the MBA Veterans Network Community for personal and professional-related purposes only.
The MBA Veterans Network has taken all reasonable precautions to secure the personal information available through MBA Veterans Connect/MBAVeterans.net. Membership in the MBA Veterans Connect is password protected to allow access by registered Members only. Although this precaution should effectively protect any personal information available through MBA Veterans Connect from abuse or outside interference, a certain degree of privacy risk is faced any time information is shared over the Internet. Therefore, through the Profile feature of MBA Veterans Connect, you have the ability to hide your information from being viewed by other community members.
2.) Eligibility: You must be over the age of 18 to register for MBA Veterans Connect or use the website. You must be a current or former member of an Active Duty, Reserve, of National Guard military service and unit from any nation. You must also be a current student or alumnus of a top-ranked US or international full-time, part time, or executive MBA program. Eligible MBA programs are listed on the Website and also at MBAVeterans.com . The MBA Veterans Network reserves the right to change the eligibility list at any time. Membership in the Service is void where prohibited. By using this website, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all of the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.
3.) Term: This Agreement will remain in effect while you use the Website and/or are a Member. You may terminate your membership at any time, for any reason, by following the instructions in the Account Settings, or upon receipt by the MBA Veterans Network, of your written or emailed notice of termination. The MBA Veterans Network may terminate your membership for any reason, effective upon sending notice to you at the email address provided in your original application. If your application is terminated either by your own initiative or the MBA Veterans Network for any reason, you will not be entitled to any refund of unused subscription fees. Even after membership is terminated, certain provisions within this agreement remain in effect, including sections 5,6, and 10-15 of this agreement.
4.) Commerical Use by Members: Unauthorized uses of the website including collecting members’ email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or unauthorized framing or linking to the website will be investigated and appropriate legal action will be taken including without limitation, civil, criminal, criminal and injunctive redress. Use of information or communications available through the Website for public or political purposes is strictly prohibited. Information available through MBA Veterans Connect may be used for specific personal and University-related purposes only.
5.) Proprietary Rights in Content on MBAVeterans.com: MBA Veterans Network, Inc., owns and retains all proprietary rights in the Website and the Service. The Website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information of the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., and its licensors. Except for that which is in the public domain or for which you have been given written permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any such proprietary information.
6.) Content Posted on the Website: You undesrtand and agree that the MBA Veterans Network, Inc. may review and delete any content, messages, posts, profiles (collectively “Content”) that in the sole judgement of the MBA Veterans Network violates this agreement or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of members. You are solely responsible for the Content that you publish or display (hereinafter ‘post’) to any public area of MBAVeterans.net/MBA Veterans Connect or transmit to other members. By posting Content to any public area on the website, you automatically grant, to the MBA Veterans Network, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully-paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, and distribute such information and content, and to grant and authorize licenses of the forgoing.
The following is a list of partial list of the Content that is illegal or prohibited on the website. The MBA Veterans Network, Inc. reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action in its sole discretion against anyone who violates this provision, including without limitation, removing the offending communication from the Service or removing the Memership of such violators. It includes content that: is offensive to the MBA Veterans community, such as content that promotes hatred, bigotry, or physical harm againt any person or individual; harasses or advocates harassment of another person; involves the transmission of junk mail, unsolicited mass emailing or spamming; or that solicits passwords or additional personal information for commercial or unlawful purposes from users; and engages in commercial activities and/or sales without the prior written consent of the MBA Veterans Network, Inc. You must use the Service in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not transmit any chain mail or junk letters to members. Although the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., cannot monitor the conduct of its members off the website, it is also a violation of these rules to use any information obtained from the Service in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person or in order to contact, advertise to, solicit, or sell to any member without their explicit written consent.
7.) Copyright policy: You may not post, distribute, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights.
8.) Member disputes: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other MBAVeterans.net/MBA Veterans Connect members. The MBA Veterans Network reserves the right, but has no obligation to monitor disputes between you and other members.
9.) The MBA Veterans Network, Inc. is not responsible for screening communications in advance, and it will not actively monitor the use of the MBA Veterans Connect by its Members. For this reason, it is essential that the Members report any abuses or misuse of the online community to the MBA Veterans Network, Inc. If the MBA Veterans Network, Inc. determines that a user's participation in the MBA Veterans Connect online community creates a liability for the MBA Veterans Network or that the user has violated the policies set forth herein, the MBA Veterans Network reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take actions against the user. The MBA Veterans Network reserves the right to expel a user and deny a user further access to the MBA Veterans Connect Community if such user violates these policies or any applicable laws or regulations.
10.) Liability and Indemnity The reliability of the information available through the MBA Veterans Connect Community is largely dependent upon the actions of community registrants. The MBA Veterans Network, Inc. can make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of this information. The MBA Veterans Network, Inc., does not warrant that the MBA Veterans Connect Community web site will operate error-free or that the site and its server are free of computer viruses or other harmful material. To the fullest extent permitted by the law, the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., disclaims all warranties, including the warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, and fitness for particular purpose. In no event shall the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., be liable for any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, resulting from the use of or inability to use information or materials available on the MBA Veterans Connect web site. By using the MBA Veterans Connect web site, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., and its respective agents from and against any and all losses, claims, damages, costs, and expenses that may arise from your use of the MBA Veterans Connect web site or your breach of these policies. The MBA Veterans Network, Inc., will provide notice to you of any such action or claim, and reserves the right to participate, at our expense, in the investigation, settlement, and defense of any such action or claim.
Please note that the MBA Veterans Network, Inc., may revise these policies and your continued use of the site constitutes your agreement to comply with such modifications. You should review the policies periodically to ensure that you are familiar with them. Participation in the MBA Veterans Connect Community is a privilege.
